2017 Stan Honey Presentation
The fleet was treated to a presentation by Stan and Sally Honey in the Vista Room at Marina de la Paz. Stan recently navigated the 100 foot maxi Comanche setting the monohull Transatlantic Record at 5 days 14 hours, taking over a day off the previous record. Stan had his audience glued to the screen as he described the boat and the navigator’s job of picking the departure time and course. Sally and Stan recently sailed from Chile to Antarctica and back on Skip Novak’s 74 sailboat Pelagic Australis. Sally showed some photos and described the trip. She is recovering from having broken 5 ribs on the return trip North across the Drake Passage.
